I painted this from a photo by the photography team of Maslowski Wildlife Productions.I found the picture in a calendar for the Children's Cancer Society I had kicking around. It was a gift for my wife's mother Pam. I was quite lucky to have such a great photo to work from!
I'm quite excited about the picture, because it feels like one of my first truly successful watercolors. I have the colors blending in the background washes and there is a nice transition from the blurry background to the crisp foreground. I'm quite excited to try the watercolors out for illustration now!

You are right, as you state on your site, "There is order to the universe..." It is everywhere! I think God gave us so much here to enjoy - I can only imagine being with Christ after death and how much more we will enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I can save up my dollars, I will definitely want to buy one of your beautiful 8x10 prints in your shop. I LOVE color, and I, too, love painting with my children. I have 4 ages 5 and under, and we spend most of our day at home painting, drawing, and coloring!! :)
