I was asked recently to paint daises for one of my wife's friends/co-workers. I made two interpretations to try exploring the idea a bit. The top version, used some of the bold color sensibilities that I used to employ when was painting from my imagination.
You can find it for sale in my Etsy Shop.
The bottom version, has a more straight forward approach to color and rendering. This one turned out to be what she was looking for.
Each painting oil on canvas by Andrew Daniel, measuring 9" x 12" (23cm x 30cm).
They are beautiful and both very nicely painted. I prefer the bottom one too, the background colour and the stems add to it, I feel, although I do like the blue background in the top one also!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice way of applying you paint, it is like a very distinctive fingerprint.
