Did this painting during a month long stint of finishing a painting a day. I loved this little guy hanging out on the reeds against the blue sky. I always enjoy painting birds because of all the textures and varied colors.

Cut up some kiwi, and tried to paint them fast enough that I would still be able to eat them before that went bad. Didn't work, I had to eat them before I was done!

Molly showed up for a portrait group I attend dressed in this great leather jacket and dark eye makeup, I really had fun playing up her dark appearance. The depiction looks like some vampire you might see hanging out in one of the bar is the TV series True Blood!
